Important information for all cosmetic injectable and clinical treatment clients at Bloom Integral Wellness.
Our Commitment to Safety and Ethics
Bloom Integral Wellness operates under the regulatory standards of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
All cosmetic injectable treatments are provided or prescribed by qualified medical professionals, in accordance with Australian law and professional codes of conduct.
We are committed to:
- Ensuring all treatments are performed safely and ethically.
- Providing clear, balanced information before any procedure.
- Helping you make informed decisions about your care.
- Prioritising long-term skin and health outcomes over short-term results.
Consultation and Prescription Requirements
Cosmetic injectable treatments use Schedule 4 (prescription-only) medicines.
Under Australian legislation:
- A consultation with a qualified medical prescriber (doctor or nurse practitioner) is required before any cosmetic injectable treatment.
- The prescriber must personally assess your suitability, review your medical history, and determine whether treatment is appropriate.
- Treatments can only be administered following prescription and under appropriate clinical supervision.
Understanding the Risks
All cosmetic procedures carry potential risks and side effects. These will be discussed with you in detail during your consultation.
Possible risks may include (but are not limited to):
- Temporary redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site
- Asymmetry, uneven results or irregularities in skin texture
- Tenderness or sensitivity
- Headache or mild flu-like symptoms
- Allergic reactions (rare)
- Infection (rare with appropriate technique and hygiene)
- Vascular occlusion or other serious complications (very rare but possible)
Your practitioner will explain these risks and discuss strategies to minimise them before treatment proceeds.
Informed Consent
Before receiving any treatment, you will be asked to provide informed consent to confirm:
- You understand the nature of the proposed treatment;
- You have been informed of known risks, possible side effects, and alternatives;
- You have had the opportunity to ask questions and receive clear answers;
- You are aware that results vary between individuals and no outcome can be guaranteed.
Aftercare and Follow-Up
All clients receive tailored aftercare instructions following treatment.
Follow-up appointments may be recommended to assess results, manage side effects (if any), and ensure optimal outcomes.
If you experience unexpected pain, skin blanching, or other concerns following treatment, contact the clinic immediately or seek urgent medical review.
